Dustin Hull is a Pennsylvania Native who has always had an interest in public service. Dustin joined the Annville Fire Department in 1999 at the age of 16, and has been involved in emergency services since then in one form or another. He is the middle child of 9 brothers and sisters. He graduated from Annville-Cleona High School in 2001, Lebanon Valley Career and Technical College in 2001 with a degree in Automotive Technology, Axia College in 2007 with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, and University of Phoenix in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in the Science of Management.
Military Life
He joined the United States Marine Corps delayed entry program when he was 17 and went to Boot Camp when he was 18 to begin his career as an Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter. He was stationed in Beaufort, SC where he served as a Fireman and a Military Policeman until 2005 when he separated, as a Sergeant, from the service. In 2008, Dustin joined the United States Army Reserves in Creston, Iowa as a Fireman. Dustin accepted a new job in Alabama and transferred units to Pascagoula, Mississippi. In 2011, Dustin Deployed with the 683rd Engineering Detachment to Kandahar, Afghanistan as the Fire Inspector/Supply officer/Training officer where he served in the Headquarters Unit over 7 other units until early 2012. Dustin then returned and got out of the Army Reserves in 2014, finishing his time in the military.
Professional Life
After getting out of the Marine Corps in 2005, Dustin became a Machine Operator at Diversified Machine where he was promoted to Foreman until 2007. He then moved to California, working as a Team Lead in PetCo until late 2007 when he moved to Iowa and began working for Utility Partners of America where he was promoted to a Field Supervisor monitoring and helping oversea the daily operations of the transition from Analog Gas and Electric meters to the digital meters for the utility company. Shortly thereafter, he began working as a Security Guard for the Isle of Capri Casino in Bettendorf, Iowa where he became the Assistant Shift Leader until he accepted a job in Fort Rucker, Alabama as a civilian Fire Fighter/EMT working for the Army in 2009. Dustin worked at Fort Rucker until 2018 when he decided to return to Pennsylvania and got selected as a Fireman at Carlisle Barracks Fire Department, where he remains to this day.
Dustin found out about the Special Unit 66 in 2019 and joined in October of that year. He was a member of the command staff, working in the command trailer since that time and was elected Assistant Chief in January 2021.
Dustin currently lives in Muir, PA with his Fiance, Kelly Fuessel, and volunteers with the Muir Fire Department, continuing to provide emergency services to the surrounding communities.
